Small Paintings
Small paintings can make an outsized statement in a space. They bring personality to areas which might otherwise be ignored.
Design Considerations: Small Paintings
-
- 2+ small paintings in a series or in a gallery wall (mixed arrangement) can occupy similar wall space as a single large painting, often for a lower price. Series and gallery walls require spacing between each piece, which increases the area occupied.
- Small paintings are the building blocks of gallery walls, which bring an eclectic look to a space and allow you to showcase a variety of tastes and styles.
- While we encourage taking risks with artwork in any size, it will be less daunting to explore your “riskier” tastes with smaller paintings first. Bold, smaller paintings in an unassuming nook or corner bring an outsized impact on personality in your space and bring a sense of completion to your overall design (as they are often final additions).
- If you love a piece but feel it is a tad small for your space, we can connect you with a professional framer who will know how to make the painting pop. We can also arrange an artist commission to develop a similar, but larger piece.

If you are a collector local to the artist, we offer free shipping, and the artist is often able to deliver the painting in person and tell you about their inspiration. Our mission is to build local connections!

Testimonial
“This is my second time purchasing art work at ArtMatch and like the first time, it was conducted in a very professional manner, very fast delivery and most importantly, the pieces look exactly like how they are presented and described online. It is nice to support very talented local artists.”
