Artist Statement
Anastasia Grigoryeva’s paintings embody an intersection of interior space, architectural design, geometric forms, and still-life composition. She carefully designs her artworks to strike a delicate balance between colour and form, surface and space, and abstraction and figurative elements. The interplay of hues and shapes give rise to an optical illusion, fluctuating between a sense of depth and flatness, tension and serenity.
For Anastasia, the fusion of interiors and art is intrinsic, constituting two indispensable components of a unified entity that enhance and complete each other. Beyond her studio confines, she is exposed to a variety of inspirations, from her professional design practice along with regular visits to museums and art galleries. Through this exploration, both her design and fine art practice are injected with an artistic sensibility that transcends conventional confines, creating results that resonate on multiple levels with their audience.
Artist Bio
Anastasia Grigoryeva, a multidisciplinary artist and designer, saw her creative journey take root during her formative years at art school, blossoming further at the Moscow State University. In 2017, She received a Master’s degree with Honours in Interior Design. Her academic immersion in painting, drawing, and art history gave her a deep comprehension of techniques, materials, and styles, thereby moulding her artistic persona.
