Artist Statement
David Dawson’s paintings aren’t of a place, rather they are simply inspired by a place. Through light and colour, David likes to explore the structure of nature, sometimes in oils but mostly in gouache, a water based pigment. A great painting represents the law of increasing returns, and over time it becomes a cherished member of the family.Â
