This painting comes from a period of time where I watched a relationship fizzle out. I had received a beautiful bouquet of flowers from a boy named Tom, and subconsciously knew I wanted to document the lifecycle of the bouquet from it’s fresh openings to its decay. A series titled, “In Time There’s Teachings,” was born when I used these images, collaged different stages of the cycle together and repainted them as a way to decipher what happened within the relationship.
Dimensions reflect the height and width of the canvas from point to point of the diamond shape.
